Meet the Board


Aaron Mowla
President and Chairman

Aaron is Chairman of the Aarcos Group of Companies, with business interests in over 65 countries worldwide, in fields as diverse as environmental technology and management, biometric identification technologies, and US/UK Business Security Projects. Aaron has been President and Chairman of the British American Business Council for Yorkshire and the Humber since 2008, and from 2004-2009 was Vice-Chairman of the Institute of Directors in West Yorkshire, UK. 






Sean Gilligan
Director

Sean is the Managing Director of WebAnywhere Limited. He graduated from the University of York and went on to work with several successful IT sector companies such as TEAMtalk.com and the Caudwell Group. In August 2003 he founded WebAnywhere and completed his first delivery project for Egg, the online bank. WebAnywhere's subsequent move into the education sector has seen the company go from strength to strength. WebAnywhere are now trading globally with their web 2.0 software solutions and are actively marketing their products to North America.




David Winterburn FREC.Dip.RP, MIoD
Director

David is the Managing Director and Founder of Harrison Winterburn Associates Ltd. In addition, David has also been a member of the IoD Council since 2008 and is a retired Chairman of the IoD in West Yorkshire.
David is a Fellow of the REC, and is also a retired Chairman, Non-Executive Director and Invigilator, and sits on the Professional Standards Committee of the same organisation. He also acts as a Trainer for REC/AER headhunting courses.
David is a retired Chairman of the AER, and is currently an Executive Committee member and UK Ambassador.
Moreover, David is a member of the 
British Psychological Society, as well as being a Qualified Life Coach, Qualified Recruitment Professional, Fellow of Park Lane College Leeds, In 2008 David was awarded 'Business Insider One of the 42 under 42'. In 2007 he gained a REC award for 'Outstanding Contribution to the UK Recruitment Industry', and was named a finalist for Non Executive DIrector of the Year at the IoD Awards in 2006.

David is also the European President for the European Confederation of Search & Selection Associations (ECSSA) and UK Regular Forces Employment Association (RFEA). He is a Dragon, Fellow, Mentor and Member of the Steering Committee for the School of Entrepreneurship(The Unit) at Park Lane College Leeds, as well as being a Financial Service Skills Academy (FSSA) Steering Committee Member.
David acts a an Ambassador for the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE). He is a Strategic Board Member for the Regional Business Crime Forum (RBCF) and Advisory Panel Member for the Red Tape Team. David acts as an Ad Hoc Adviser for the Bank of England.


Robert Wexler
Director

Robert Wexler is an American Lawyer and English Solicitor with substantial legal and business experience in the United States and Europe. He was born and educated in America, graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. in 1975, and received a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University Law School in 1977. He is currently enrolled in the Chartered Tax Adviser program in England. He worked in Chicago for 20 years for two of the largest American  multinational law firms, Kirkland & Ellis, and Ross Hardies (now McGuire Woods) before starting his own full service commercial 25 lawyer firm. He has extensive securities, corporate, and tax law experience in the United States and Europe. He has been involved in several American initial public offerings, and has been on the Board of Directors of several NASDAQ and private companies in both the United States and Europe. Robert has worked on during the past 30 years over 100 business deals in both the United States and Europe.

Robert has lived and worked full time in Europe for the past 12 years. He has been the General Legal Counsel for several American and European companies in such sectors as technology, manufacturing, television production and distribution, chemicals for the industrial and retail markets, oil and gas, and real estate development.

He has owned and operated successfully two small multinational companies in the technology and entertainment sectors. From 2007 until 2012, Robert worked at Ford & Warren Solicitors, where he was involved in various securities, corporate, and tax matters, and oversaw the marketing of the firm's activities in the American market, and to American companies in Europe. He also headed up the firm's China and Eastern European groups.


Roger Hawes

Roger has over 30 years experience as a lawyer and over 20 years experience as a legal practice manager with Cobbetts. His legal experience has been mainly in business law but with a special interest in entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses. He was an employment law specialist in the early part of his career working mainly for employers and senior executives. Later he worked extensively in the area of corporate law advising on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, fund raising and shareholder issues. He has advised international clients on English law and practice and has helped overseas clients set up business in the UK. Roger has been advising clients in the public transport sector since the mid 1980's. His current role as business relations partner enables him to capitalise on his extensive network of contacts in the UK and internationally for the benefit of clients and colleagues. His management  and wide legal experience enables him to identify business development opportunities. His current management responsilities include leading the retail and consumer group which seeks to provide added value services to businesses operating in this sector and managing relationships with key contacts within the UK and internationally. He is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, International Bar Association, British JCI Senate.

Jessica completed her degree in May 2008, where she obtained a 2:1 BA Honours, in Marketing and History at Oxford Brookes University. Since finishing University she have worked for the British American Business Council. Her main role includes organising events, day-to-day administration, finances, marketing and attending meetings with members to assist them with their enquiries.
